Dedicated to Making a Difference

It’s about more than just climbing mountains. The purpose lies beyond the expeditions – it’s about encouraging, inspiring and positively impacting others.

Daniel thrives on spreading inspiration, wellness and education to communities around the globe, speaking in schools and engaging community groups during virtual expeditions and activities, working toward making a difference.

Daniel continues to pursue his passion for heights and for pushing the limits to show people of all ages and backgrounds that anything really is possibull. With new adventures on the horizon, Daniel’s commitment to having a positive impact continues.

Current Campaigns

Daniel works with select organisations on campaigns that align with his personal and professional values, in an effort to raise awareness and inspire action.

The Highest Swim for the Highest Cause

“I know how vital clean water has been to my success. I’ve also experienced and witnessed first-hand the negative impacts of inadequate access to safe water and hygiene.”

578 million

have no choice but to drink dirty water

Every person needs a sustainable supply of clean water: for drinking, for washing, for cooking.

WHO/UNICEF (2019)

2 billion

people in the world do not have a decent toilet of their own

A decent toilet is something everyone should take for granted – at home, school, work and in public places.

Water is life. We can survive 3 weeks without food.

But only about 3 days without water.

Daniel holds the belief that clean water and sanitation should be a right, not a privilege.

Building on his high-altitude experience, this year Daniel once again pushed his mind and body to the limit as he attempted to make history with his latest record-breaking attempt: to swim in the highest lake on Earth and become the first person to swim above an altitude of 6,000 m | 20,000 ft.

‘The Highest Swim’ delivers a chilling assault on the senses and a story of survival against the odds – breathing thin air, facing gale force winds, and then diving into icy sub-zero waters, taking the fight against ‘The Water Crisis’ to new heights – literally.

A world where everyone, everywhere has safe water, sanitation and hygiene.

A Journey to the Highest Body of Water in the World, for a World where Everyone has Access to Clean Water

Daniel supports WaterAid

Preventing the spread of COVID-19 requires strong and urgent action to protect the most vulnerable. This is a global emergency.

Right now, WaterAid teams around the world are urgently scaling up work to install handwashing facilities in areas where people need them most, and to launch public awareness campaigns making sure that everyone knows how important it is to wash their hands with soap. WaterAid is urgently focussing support to help people in communities to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

We must act now to protect those in the countries who need it most.

Help save lives now!

Safe water and sanitation for all.
